fucking terrible ass shit that still happens. Why are we letting this happen. Why are we not teaching our sons better.. what the actual fuck you guys. To be honest, there is not one woman in my life who hasn’t been sexually violated, abused, or raped. Every single woman I have met that has been willing to share their story with me, has had a sexually abusive past. Myself included. And this is not okay.
Today a friend and I did a presentation to our class about victim blaming and to raise awareness to rape and how it’s not okay, that the people always seem to get away with it, and the victims get blamed.. We were reading off the statistics about how many rapes get reported and people were making smark remarks about it saying “how do you know that only those got reported” “how do you know that the other ones (that didn’t get reported) were actual rape” “how do you know that all the ones that got reported weren’t all 100%” and I was in disbelief. My friend was about to cry and was having a hard time giving the presentation with me. I’m shocked at how disrespectful my classmates were. The teachers usually stop people from talking during presentations but they didn’t stop these guys. I was in shock and wasn’t sure what to say, I ignored their remarks and continued the presentation. My friend said she peaked at our score when a teacher wasn’t look and apparently we had a bad score. In all honesty, I thought we didn’t freaking great. I’m still really shocked. I’m a little anxious about getting back our rubrics on how we did..
